📖 Chapter 4 — Tryst with Destiny (Jawaharlal Nehru): Complete notes, Odia summary (ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାରାଂଶ), word meanings (ଶବ୍ଦାର୍ଥ) & explanation.
This is the famous speech delivered by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (India's first Prime Minister) in the Constituent Assembly at midnight of 14–15 August 1947, when India became independent. Nehru (1889–1964) was a great freedom-fighter and writer (The Discovery of India, Glimpses of World History).
A call to responsibility and nation-building at the dawn of freedom — dedication to the service of India and all humanity, ending poverty, ignorance and disease, and rejecting communalism.
