Chapter 3 — We are Seven

✍️ 1. About the Poem & Poet

William Wordsworth (1770–1850) was one of the greatest English poets of nature and simple rural life. Famous works: Daffodils, The Solitary Reaper, Lucy Poems. This poem was inspired by his meeting a little girl near Goodrich Castle, Wales (1793).

🎯 2. Theme (ମୂଳଭାବ)

The poem contrasts a child's innocent view of death with an adult's rational view. For the little girl, her two dead siblings are still part of the family — she cannot understand death as separation.
